Information for IMATYC Conference 2022

We’re very excited to host you for the first in-person IMATYC conference (with Zoom option) since 2019! We’ve answered some common questions below. If you have other questions, please feel free to contact any member of the conference team:

Driving directions to campus (labeled “Main Campus”) and a campus map are available at https://www.kirkwood.edu/explore/locations/campus-map.

You can park in any Kirkwood parking lot, but the easiest access to the conference location is from the lot labeled P16 on the campus map. To reach the lot from the main entrance on Kirkwood Boulevard, turn in to the main entrance and continue straight through the roundabout and two stop signs, then take the next right turn after the second stop sign into the lot.

The most direct way to get to Cedar Hall 343 is to go through the doors to the left of the large, curved bank of windows. The doors are circled on the photo below:

Once through the doors, continue straight to the end of the hallway, and room 343 will be on your left.

The layout of Cedar Hall can be confusing. If you get lost, please email, call, or text Curtis (curtis.mitchell@kirkwood.edu; 319-826-5543) and they will help you get where you want to be.

Registration
Please register for the conference by sending an email to curtis.mitchell@kirkwood.edu. If you plan to attend via Zoom, please indicate that in the email. Advance registration is important to give us a rough headcount for meals and to allow us to get you Zoom links in advance. (These will be sent out earlier in the week of the conference.)

There is a registration fee of $25 for in-person attendees, payable to IMATYC. Susan Harthun will be at the registration desk at the conference to collect fees and give receipts. We are not charging a registration fee to online attendees, but we regret to say that they will be on their own for food, as we have been unable to identify a technologically feasible way to supply it.
